What happens to what you type. We don't save it: not the name, not your notes, not the report. To write the report, it is sent to OpenAI in the US, which does not use it to train its models.

This free tool doesn't swap names for a code the way a Report Alchemy account does. Use a first name or leave it blank, and leave out surnames and anything else that identifies a child.

Only the first section needs a heading. Rough notes are fine.

Before it goes home

Read every report the free writer gives you. It knows only your notes, so check three things.

  • It says only what you wrote. If a sentence claims something your notes did not, take it out. Parents notice praise for work their child never did.
  • It sounds like this child. One real piece of work or one moment from the term does more than three adjectives.
  • It fits the box. Many school systems limit each comment to a set number of characters. The report checker counts them, and finds names, pronouns and sentences that slipped between reports.
